Anna Camp Dishes Life Changes Following Skylar Astin Divorce

Anna Camp is dishing about the life changes she has faced in the past few months following her divorce from Skylar Astin.

The actress opened up at the Television Critics Association 2019 summer press tour regarding her life changes. Camp and Astin shocked fans when they announced last April they were splitting up after less than three years of marriage. The couple began dating in 2013 after meeting on the set of the first Pitch Perfect film.

“It’s been really scary and liberating at the same time. I’m 36 years old. I’ve had some life changes go on,” the Perfect Harmony star shared while promoting the upcoming series with Bradley Whitford.

Despite all of her life changes, the blonde beauty also admitted she feels more like herself than she has in years. It is empowering for Camp to find herself again and she is embracing the sentiment.

“I feel more me than I ever have. It’s a vulnerable place to be, but it’s also very empowering. I feel really grounded. The decisions I’ve been making have been for the best,” Camp explained.

The 36-year-old doesn’t only talk about feeling like herself, but she also reflected on learning about herself. There are so many life-lessons that go along with any breakup or divorce. Camp made sure she paid attention to those while she was enduring her recent changes.

“I’ve learned that you can go through a life change and remain positive and remain kind and friendly. Things happen for a reason. I’ve always learned that in the face of a challenge, I can rise above it and even be better for it,” the actress shared.

Since calling it quits with Astin, Camp has been relatively quiet regarding what went wrong. During their marriage, they were both vocal about their love for each other on social media and in interviews.

Other than releasing the joint statement saying they were “amicably spiting up,” neither Camp or Astin has dished on the ending of the marriage. They don’t even speak about the other in public, and both have wiped their social media clean of the other’s presence.

Whatever went wrong, the blonde bombshell is learning from the past and embracing the future. Next up is Camp’s new NBC comedy, which is set to premiere on Thursday, September 26th.
